2014 Golden Globes Awards: Zoe Saldana In Prabal Gurung

Sunday, January 12, 2014

Zoe Saldana - 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards - Arrivals
Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana was a big disappointment at the '2014 Golden Globe Awards' held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, in Beverly Hills, California.

The actress rocked a pale pink and black lace detail Prabal Guring frock.

I admire the actress for going against the grain, but it's not anything I like about this dress.

If she was a burlesque dancer, maybe this would had worked.

Epic Fail.

Kerry Washington - Celebs Drop by 'Letterman'
The beautiful Kerry Washington made an appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" to promote the season premiere of  'Scandal'( i still think I'm the only one in the world who doesn't watch this show) in New York City.

The actress looked wonderful in her floral printed Prabal Gurung dress adorned with black bell sheer sleeves.

She teamed her look with soft curls, black textured envelope clutch, and black pointy Christian Louboutin heels.

Joan Smalls attended the Estee Lauder Fragrance Party " Modern Muse" at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.

The supermodel is wearing a lavender and white ruffled detailed Prabal Gurung straight off the Spring 2014 runway.

I'm kind of on the fence with this one. It look too promish and the material looks a little cheap for my taste.

She finished off her look with a sleek ponytail and Prabal Gurung buckled heels.

Emma Watson looked amazing at the '2013 MET Ball' held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

The actress wore a black cut-out Prabal Gurung one-shoulder dress.

She stepped outside her comfort zone in this sexy revealing number.

Pulled back hair, dropped earrings, and neutral makeup finished off her look.

2013 SAG Awards: January Jones

January Jones - 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards - Arrivals

January Jones - 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards - Arrivals
Thank God for January Jones. The actress was one of the few divas whom took a risk on the red carpet.

She looked stunning in her black and white sheer sculptural yoke Prabal Gurung dress.

I know you guys may think the bodice looks like a cocktail napkin, but I love the detail.

She teamed her look with a fabulous pompadour slick back hair, and bold red lips.

The actress looked incredible in her multi colored woven Prabal Gurung dress.

I am dying over her fantastic color-block neon Casadei ankle-strap heels.

Jennifer Lawrence is channeling her inner diva at the '18th Annual Critic's Choice Awards' in Santa Monica, California.

The actress looks amazing in her black chiffon Prabal Gurung dress.

This silhouette has the potential of going very wrong with the sheer leather panel bodice, draping, and open back detail, but Lawrence gives it a regal feel.

I just wished her hair was more polished, since the dress had so many elements.

She teamed her look with Chopard earrings, Roger Vivier clutch, and Jimmy Choo heels.

Spring 2011 Trend Report: Peekaboo Shoulders

Fall's erogenous zone may have been the bosom, but come spring, it's all about the shoulder.

Sleeves ruled the runways, but a recurring theme was to slash them at the top, revealing a sliver of skin (Alexander McQueen), or framing the shoulder for a slyly sensual effect (Versace).

While every naughty bit remains covered, the finished product can be quite tantalizing. I figured this out when I wore a BCBG satin pussycat bow blouse with cutout shoulders to work once. My boss (who happens to be my aunt), scolded me gently. "Lovely shirt, but much too sexy for the office!"

Spring 2011 Trend Report: Colorblocking

Thursday, November 4, 2010

Whether it was Mondrian inspired sequins at Gianfranco Ferré or clashing suit separates at Gucci, designers loved colors on the spring 2011 runways.  But wallflowers beware; when trying this trend you will instantly become the center of attention.

The goal here is to pop, and there are offerings for every occasion.  Roland Mouret showed an electric body conscious sheath suitable for 5 o'clock cocktails, while at Louis Vuitton, a slit up-to-there colorblocked Asian inspired gown is deserving of a red carpet event.

Wanna rock the trend now?  Find the brightest solid separates you own and mix together.  Wear with confidence.  Repeat.
