The actress looked awesome in her navy and black Louis Vuitton bustier gown adorned with a wonderful train.

She teamed her look with sexy waves, Louis Vuitton jewels, and fresh makeup.

2013 Golden Globes After Party: Jessica Alba

Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 checkered pieces are becoming hotter than ever in Hollywood.

From Kristen Stewart, Kerry Washington, Kirsten Dunst, and now Jessica Alba jumped on the bandwagon.

Alba wore her black and white checkered dress to the '2013 Golden Globes After Party' in Beverly Hills, California.

She looked chic and fabulous, but my only complaint is I wished her clutch was a pop of red.

Kirsten Dunst looked marvelous for The Art of Elysium's 6th Annual Black-Tie Gala "Heaven" in West Hollywood, California.

The actress is wearing one of my favorite dresses from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 presentation.

I adore the caramel and ivory checkered long sleeved dress adorned with a fabulous peep-a-boo open back detail.

She finished off her look with soft curls, ivory clutch, and neutral makeup.

Spring Trendspiration: Mod Squad

I know it might seem a tad early to start thinking about spring fashion when it hasn't even started snowing yet, but there's no harm thinking ahead when it comes to wardrobe inspiration.

One of the top trends for Spring 2013 will be the swinging sixties, baby. Considering Edie Sedgwick is my all time favorite style icon, I am ecstatic for the clothes to come. Until it's time to shop for your warm weather wardrobe, here's some Mod Squad trendspiration to tide you over.

Top 10 Paris Fashion Week Looks

The run-down of my top 10 favorite looks from the Paris Fashion Week fall/winter 2012 runways, in no particular order.

Valentino

The couture meets folk ankle-length sheer dress at Valentino was one of my favorite red carpet appropriate looks of the season. I would love to see this sweet and sassy little number on an of-the-minute starlet like Carey Mulligan or Jennifer Lawrence.

Alexander McQueen

Sarah Burton did it again with a louder-than-life collection for Alexander McQueen complete with otherworldly feathered frocks. Expect this one to be in every upcoming major editorial in the September fashion magazines.

Louis Vuitton

To be honest, I found most of the oversized pieces wildly unflattering in the most recent Louis Vuitton collection, but I thought this jeweled vest and pant look was a diamond in the rough.

Isabel Marant

Expect the relaxed Western shirts and lace up suede cropped pants from Isabel Marant's latest collection  to show up on every New York It girl in the fall. The perfect combination of casual and cool.

Givenchy

 The thigh high swashbuckling leather boots and satiny separates from Riccardo Tisci's dark and romantic collection for Givenchy looked super sexy but surprisingly comfy. The skintight extra long gloves added an additional element of mystery to an already perfect look.

Haider Ackermann

 It was tricky for me to pick a favorite from Haider Ackermann's collection because every single look was absolutely genius. His color use and tailoring are beyond reproach, and the collection was brilliantly cohesive. I can't wait to see what else the designer comes up with next season.

Christian Dior

 Bill Gaytten has gotten a lot of criticism as the replacement for John Galliano, but one of my favorite looks of the season was the shocking pink party dress with a barely sheer pleated organza skirt on the Christian Dior runway.

Chanel

 I am obsessed with the sheer lace pants and sleeves that spiced up this fabulous purple metallic and black feather dress. Very edgy, but still so Chanel.

Balenciaga

 Nicolas Ghesquiere also designed a purple metallic look, but done in a totally different, but equally amazing way. A pixellated animal print bustier looked modern paired with high-waisted, two-toned slouch pants.

Ann Demeulemeester

 And last but not least, Ann Demeulemeester killed it with her edgy (as usual) collection. This season, it seemed she drew some inspiration from kick-ass Girl With the Dragon Tattoo heroine, Lisbeth Salander. I love the asymmetrical, but razor-sharp tailoring on this electric blue look, one of my favorites from the collection.

Better work on those glutes ladies, because come spring, hot shorts will be one of the hottest trends in stores.  Gorgeous fabrics and a high waist class up this risqué statement so it’s more high street than streetwalker.

But honey, if you got cellulite, leave this trend to the slim and trim.  Or at least pair with opaque tights.   

So now that you have your post-Thanksgiving motivation in the form of sassy Chanel tweed and gorgeously gilted Louis V brocade, get thee to thy gym!  Stairmaster time.

Spring 2011 Trend Report: Colorblocking

Whether it was Mondrian inspired sequins at Gianfranco Ferré or clashing suit separates at Gucci, designers loved colors on the spring 2011 runways.  But wallflowers beware; when trying this trend you will instantly become the center of attention.  

The goal here is to pop, and there are offerings for every occasion.  Roland Mouret showed an electric body conscious sheath suitable for 5 o'clock cocktails, while at Louis Vuitton, a slit up-to-there colorblocked Asian inspired gown is deserving of a red carpet event.  

Wanna rock the trend now?  Find the brightest solid separates you own and mix together.  Wear with confidence.  Repeat.
