It's always fun to see what Karl Lagerfeld will come up with at Chanel. I imagine it must be hard to continually put a new spin on such a storied fashion house without completely rehauling its image, but Lagerfeld does it seamlessly every season.
For spring, Lagerfeld changed it up and drew inspiration from the prairies of the Midwest.
Models stomped down the straw strewn runway in short sassy floral embroidered numbers, tiny tweed suits and long gauzy see through confections. Sky high clogs, trompe l'oeil stockings, and messy bed (or barn?) hair completed the naughty cowgirl meets Miss Havisham look. A crooning Lily Allen provided the live soundtrack for the hoe down romp, decked out in head to toe Chanel. Lucky bitch.
For the finale, models Freja Beha Erichson and Lara Stone rolled around in the hay with Lagerfeld's hunky muse Baptiste Giabiconi, proving that farm boys have all the fun. Yee-Haw!
