2013 CFDA Awards: Hailee Stenfeld In Suno

Hailee Stenfeld looked sweet as ever at the 2013 CFDA Awards held at the Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall in New York City.

The actress wore an adorable custom brocade Suno ensemble adorned with swarovski crystals.

She topped off her look with straight parted-in-the-middle hair, and Jimmy Choo platinum sandals.

Spring Trendspiration: Cool Botanica

As Meryl Streep said in The Devil Wears Prada, "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking." 

But these florals aren't of the grandmother variety. Teeny tiny hotshorts at Peter Som had serious cool girl appeal, while oversized retro flowers on spring furs were anything but old fashioned at Prada and even floral prints that might belong on sixties curtains looked fresh on crop top and pencil skirt combos at Suno.

Spring 2012 Trend Report: 1920s

This spring, designers drew inspiration from one of the loveliest eras of all time, the Jazz Age. Channel Daisy Buchanan in pretty pastel frocks from Ralph Lauren or Christian Dior, which heavily referenced The Great Gatsby heroine. 

If screen siren Jean Harlow is more your style, try a seductive gown in curve hugging satin (Suno) or sheer and cut on the bias (Christian Dior). 

Flapper fringe added a dressy element to a gorgeous metallic frock at Marchesa and a super chic robe at Mark Fast. But if you prefer a less literal look, drop waist cocktail dresses at Marc Jacobs or weekend perfect outfits from Sonia Rykiel are both elegant and wearable options.

This season, many designers seemed to be inspired by Raf Simons' hugely successful and heavily peplumed spring/summer 2011 collection for Jil Sander. What then seemed like a fun and quirky accent to a minimalist ensemble was reworked in many incarnations this time around, like the futuristic metal peplum at Cushnie et Ochs or the hippie chic peplum at Thakoon. Whether you prefer chic and retro or something edgier, a peplumed ensemble will be the go-to trend for spring/summer 2012.
