17°
South, the tropical new restaurant inside Tahiti Village on the south end of
the Las Vegas Strip, is proud to host NHRA racer and perennial fan favorite
Terry McMillen for a special meet and greet to benefit SHE 4Life on Wednesday,
Oct. 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Held
in the spacious outdoor patio, proceeds from all “Terry McTinis” drinks sold
during the event will go directly to breast cancer centers and outreach
programs, to make an immediate impact for the breast cancer fighter and their
families. SHE 4Life also assists with Free Mammogram programs to assist with
early detection in order to increase the cure rate of breast cancer. Featuring
a refreshing mix of Island Oasis Ice Cream, Raspberry Island Oasis, Ketel One
Orange Vodka, chocolate drizzle and a raspberry garnish, the “Terry McTini”
will be available for $7 each.
In
addition to the opportunity to meet one of drag racing’s biggest stars, Tahiti
Village guests and Las Vegas locals can take an up-close-and-personal look at
McMillen’s one-of-a-kind dragster. Painted pink in honor of all breast cancer
fighters, McMillen’s dragster will be on display in front of Tahiti Village
from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
“We’re
thrilled to welcome Terry McMillen to 17° South and honored to be working with
a wonderful foundation as SHE 4Life,” said Chef Gremo, Executive Chef of
17° South at Tahiti Village. “Tahiti
Village guests and Las Vegas locals will not only have a chance to meet one of
NHRA’s biggest stars, but to help families in need by purchasing a refreshing
‘Terry McTini.’ We’re proud to have the chance to give back to the Las Vegas
community and lend a hand to those in need.”
“NHRA
Drag Racing in Las Vegas is something we look forward to twice a year, probably
more so than even the fans,” said Terry McMillen. “There's just two races left
in the final stretch of the Countdown to the Championship. It doesn't get more
exciting than this. Having our car displayed for NHRA fans and Tahiti Village
guests and then to have a meet and greet at 17° South while benefiting She4Life
is certainly one of the highlights of our season. I'm looking forward to seeing
everyone there.”
Survive,
Hope, Empower, is a reflection of the people SHE 4Life helps and those who
volunteer. Helping families affected by breast cancer afford the everyday
necessities to help them fight the fight is the basis of SHE 4Life. The brand
has been developed to make a difference in the lives of those who are battling
to become survivors. The goal of SHE 4Life is to work with retailers across the
nation to place “SHE4Life” products in their stores to honor all breast cancer
fighters and generate dollars for regional breast cancer centers or outreach
programs of the retailer’s choice. For more information on SHE 4Life, please

“SHE
4Life looks forward to October every year, so we can increase awareness of our
mission and work with Terry McMillen Racing to help spread the word throughout
the NHRA community,” said Jodi Kramer, CEO/Founder of SHE 4Life. “Our goal,
with proceeds from this event at 17° South, is to assist The Promise PACC
Foundation in establishing a transportation program to help breast cancer
fighters travel to and from doctor appointments. Since we’re kicking this
program off with Terry McMillen Racing, it seems appropriate that SHE 4Life
helps provide Las Vegas breast cancer fighters with the fuel they need for
their battle.
